UK ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS

The UK Entertainment Awards was Launched in 2014 and was created to recognise and award talents which are not often acknowledged by mainstream media and awarding platforms. The aim of the UK Entertainment Awards is to provide a platform for emerging talent, while celebrating the creative talents within urban entertainment, such as music producer awards, video director awards, actor awards, community inspiration awards, legendary awards, short film awards and much more.

Our award show helps and empowers young people. We partnered with local organisations to help break down barriers by offering young people opportunities and work experience. We partnered with Big Creative Education to offer 10 young people work experience placements at our previous ceremonies but this year our plans are to increase this number by offering 20 young people work placements to help blossom their careers, exposing young people to positive role models, to build up young people’s confidence, to give young people employment skills and to give them confidence and a postive aspect in life.

Your support will change the life's of our young people and our community

As a young person starting this award show, I took a leap of faith. It has been almost 6 years with running this platform with no funding. Having seen the impact the award show has bought to our community, our aim is to grow and continue this great platform but we need the help of business organisations and our community to continue this great platform.

Some positive outcomes from the award show:

Young people have gained confidence from voluntary work and employment skills
Nominees such as Ella Mai was nominated by UK ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS in 2014 and has now gone on to win Grammy awards.
BPostive Choir and Lurine Cato had performed at 2018 award ceremony and was able to bring awareness to our audience on sickle cell. With the lack of black minority donors, we were able to 80% of our audience to sign up to give blood.
Amani Simpson won his first award by UK ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS 2018 (Community Inspiration). We were able bring awareness to our audience of the increase of knife crime in our community. Amani has since gone on to release a short film of his experience being a victim of knife crime and has featured on BBC news sharing his testimony and has changed the life's of young people.

Your support would mean the world to us and will create opportunities for our young people and our community.
