Poehl Medical Expense Fund

Recently Bubba Poehl was diagnosed with stage four squamous cell carcinoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer, that has metastasized to his lungs. He is currently undergoing radiation therapy, will begin chemotherapy very soon, and just finished up a very costly weeklong stay in the hospital.

This incredibly difficult situation would be financially challenging for any family, but it is made even more challenging by the fact that both Ann and Bubba, the family's primary income sources, are small business owners. Being self-employed at a time like this is very difficult because Bubba has been left physically incapable of working, and Ann is constantly busy with taking Bubba to doctors' appointments and being his primary caretaker. Their insurance coverage is falling short in securing the medication and care Bubba needs, and any donation would be extremely helpful for paying the medical bills that have already piled up in excess of $10,000.

I have known the Poehl family for six years and have been dating their eldest daughter almost that entire time.
