There is no limit to how much or how little you can donate, it all adds up. However, the more you donate the more times you get automatically entered into a raffle with loads of prizes to be won. ( See prizes at bottom )

Every year UCC Students' Union selects a number charities to raise money and awareness for. This year the Students' Union has chosen Friendly Call Cork, Meningitis Research Foundation and St Vincent de Paul.
The money raised is split evenly between the chosen charities. Every year we try to raise more than the previous year. Money is constantly raised throughout the year but there is one specific week dedicated to raising as much money as possible. This year it falls on February 12th - 16th.
In setting up a GoFundMe we are trying to make the process of raising money for these charities as simple as possible for students. With over 21,000 students in UCC, if each student was to donate €2 we would raise over €40,000 which would break the record for the most money raised.

Friendly Call Cork
This service specifically targets people with chronic illness or anyone who cannot engage in an active way in the wider community. The Friendly Caller will chat to clients about their day and will check how they are feeling. It also provides friendship and security making clients feel safer at home. If a client does not answer the phone, the Friendly Caller will phone a member of their family, a neighbour or a friend.
Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society of St Vincent de Paul has been in Ireland for over 170 years and works with a diverse range of people who experience poverty and exclusion. Through a network of almost 11'000 volunteers' home visitations to families, carried out in strict confidence, is the core work of the Society. Other aspects of the Society's work include operating over 220 charity shops; 10 hostels; 11 resource & daycare centres; 8 holiday centres and 46 social housing schemes with over 1'000 units throughout the country.
Meningitis Research Foundation
Meningitis Research Foundation's vision is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. They have three goals: to see fewer people get meningitis, to see more people survive with a better quality of life and to have more engaged, informed and supported patients and communities.
