Funeral for mum

Ok, so my lovely mum has both Alzheimer's and Dementia diseases and is in the final stages. I am her youngest child and at the end of 2018, I have been assigned with the responsibility of being her legal welfare guardian as my beloved step-dad passed away from a sudden heart attack which left us shocked. My amazing husband and I live in Western Australia, raising our 4 children aged 12, 7, 5 and 1, while my lovely mum is being cared for a fantastic Dementia care facility in New Zealand. Mum forgot who I was about 5 years ago now. She is currently in the hospital wing of the Dementia facility, cannot sit up, is incontinent, blind and requires feeding and 24 hour care. I have recently been told she is nearing the end of her life and I need to be prepared for her funeral costs, as she can take a turn for the worse at any given time. Both my step-dad and mum were both ill for quite some time. My step-dad suffered with Parkinson's and had severe restless legs so he couldn't work. They relied on welfare payments and couldn't afford life insurance so the costs of mum's funeral now rests with me. I have 3 older siblings who are unable and unwilling to assist me with any financial or emotional support and as a stay at home mum and hubby's work pay just covering our living costs, asking for much needed help from good-hearted samaritans  is my only option. I have been told that basic funeral costs at a funeral home start from $6000 so that is what I am asking for. My mum has had a hard road on her journey on Earth, suffering from all sorts of traumas and raising 4 children, mostly on her own. She means the world to me so I would love to give her a nice send off. I will be in full charge of all the final expenses and I absolutely appreciate the opportunity to have this chance to reach out for much needed assistance and I humbly thank you for reading this shortened version of my situation.
