Nicole's Surgery Fund

I am having SI joint bone fusion surgery on August 17. I have been fighting to have this surgery for more than 2 years and finally due to the amount of pain that I am in I find myself moving forward with the surgery. This proceddure is considered an experimental procedure and the insurance company has turned down my claim and as well as my appeals. My company was bought out in May and I have now lost my short term disability. The policy from the old owner was not portable and now I am considered a new employee with the new owners therefore I can not access my new disability policy for 12 months. I can not wait that long. My hip is disintegrating and my tail bone is collapsing into my hip. I now have to take on this surgery out of pocket as well as all of the rehab. Those who know me know that I am a private person who does not like to ask for help, but there comes a time in everyone's life when they need help. The hospital is wanting half of the cost up front. I have set my goal to cover just the surgery. I am hoping for all of the love and support that I can receive and I appreciate the gestures more than anyone can ever imagine.  I have a daughter that I have not been able to play with for a long time. I am having this surgery not just for me, but also to be back to 100% for my family. With out the support of family and friends life would be hard and I am thankful and blessed to have so many of both.  Thank you all for allowing me to share my story.
