Life is full of ups and downs and for most of my life I have been on the receiving end of an abundance of grace.  At the age of 51 my life was going just as I planned. I am a father to a beautiful daughter, I was still active and enjoyed traveling with friends and family.  I was getting excited about the possibility of retiring in the upcoming years; but then, CANCER. In December 2017, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. What followed was several months of radiation, chemotherapy and in May 2018 surgery to remove the tumor.  My doctor felt good about my prognosis and after four more months of chemotherapy, I was able to ring the bell that officially ended my last chemotherapy treatment in October of 2018. I breathed a sigh of relief and started planning my future steps. I changed jobs in November of 2018, hoping to get a new start by leaving all the bad memories and circumstances behind me.  But cancer was not done with me yet. After going to a routine follow up appointment in December 2018, my doctor wanted me to have another colonoscopy. Something was wrong and I felt it but I thought certainly not cancer again, not this soon. The colonoscopy revealed another tumor and a CT scan one week later revealed that the cancer had metastasized. On February 7, 2019 I had another surgery, this time I endured 15 hours on the operating table.  The surgeon not only removed another portion of my colon that was diseased but also my spleen, gall bladder and a small section of my liver. I am in a fight for my life and I realize I can no longer do it alone. I have always taken pride in being able to take care of my responsibilities on my own but because of these unfortunate events, I have not been able to work since December of 2018. I am still facing months of chemotherapy, medical treatments and the additional cost of medical supplies.  I am not able to work nor am I eligible for disability through my job because of my recent hiring.   I am paying out of pocket for my health care premiums.  Each month it is getting more difficult to afford the premiums but I can not afford to lose my health insurance. I never envisioned I would be in this critical position. Thinking about finding money for food, rent, lights, heat, the basics for living are now anxiety producing.

This is the reason I started this Go Fund Me page.  I am asking for your help. Family, friends and strangers anyone who understands my plea.  I am determined to fight to win this battle. I WANT TO LIVE. Your donations, small or large will help ease the financial burdens that I have to face due to not being able to work and the cost of treatment, including transportation to and from chemotherapy.  Most importantly I ask for your prayers, that GOD will grant me his Grace and Mercy and restore my health so that I can live my life with zeal  well into my retirement years.

Humbling thanking you for your consideration
