Mi hermano tuvo un accidente trágico y necesitamos ayuda. Mi nombre es Julio Calleja, somos venezolanos actualmente viviendo en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Emigrantes buscando un futuro mejor que el que podíamos tener en nuestro país. El jueves 28 de octubre mi hermano estaba trabajando como delivery en una moto, cuando fue arrollado por un auto que iba a alta velocidad. Estuvo 30 minutos en el suelo esperando que la ambulancia llegara para ser trasladado a un hospital. Tiene múltiples traumatismos; una contusión cerebral, multiples fracturas, y los médicos tuvieron que amputarle el brazo derecho, y reconstruir su mano izquierda. Para nuestra familia esto es una gran tragedia y es muy difícil asimilar lo que mi hermano está pasando. Aún está muy delicado, está en coma inducido y se le están realizando estudios diariamente. Nuestra madre se encuentra en Venezuela y necesitamos traerla a Buenos Aires para apoyar a mi hermano. En este momento necesitamos que nos ayuden, que nos apoyen para poder cubrir los gastos diarios aquí, ya que vivimos de lo que trabajamos y en este momento necesitamos estar con Daniel para poder proporcionarle los tratamientos que necesite y que nuestra madre pueda estar con él. Cualquier ayuda que puedas hacer a esta campaña será un gran apoyo para nosotros. Cuando Daniel despierte va a requerir tratamientos de rehabilitación y apoyo psicológico. También tenemos que costear gastos de asesoramiento legal, pues mi hermano fue arrollado por un auto de la policía que supuestamente se encontraba en una persecución. Fueron negligentes y Daniel casi pierde la vida. Lo dejaron en el lugar mucho tiempo sin recibir ayuda médica, lo que empeoró todo. Perdió mucha sangre y no dejaban que nadie se acercara. Estuvo internado en el Hospital Pirovano y el 30 de Octubre fue trasladado al Hospital General de Agudos Dr. Cosme Argerich, donde le pueden proporcionar mejor atención, debido a que le deben hacer tomografías regularmente.

Esta es una situación que le puede pasar a cualquiera y que no le deseo a nadie. Dios bendiga a cada persona que nos pueda colaborar en este momento tan difícil.

For our family, this is a great tragedy and it is very difficult to assimilate what my brother is going through. He is still very delicate, he has been in an induced coma and studies are being carried out on him daily. Our mother is in Venezuela and we need to bring her to Buenos Aires to support my brother. At this moment we need the help to support us. We need to be with Daniel to be able to provide him with the treatments he needs and that our mother can be with him. Any help you can offer to this campaign will be a great support to us. When Daniel wakes up, he will require rehabilitation treatments and psychological support. We also have to pay for legal advice, as my brother was hit by a police car that was allegedly in pursuit. They were negligent and Daniel nearly lost his life. They left him at the scene for a long time without receiving medical help, which made everything worse. He lost a lot of blood and they wouldn't let anyone get near him. He was admitted to the Pirovano Hospital and on October 30th he was transferred to the General Hospital for Agudos Dr. Cosme Argerich, where they can provide him with better care.
