Help Sam get back on her feet

Hi all, my name is Sam and I've found myself in the position of needing to ask for help. Like most, I've had a terrible year. 

In October of 2019 I lost my father to suicide as a result of untreated depression and financial stressors. I was completely blindsided by this loss and the truth about a financial situation I was completely in the dark about. 

Since my dad's suicide my brother and I have struggled to find a sense of normalcy especially within the stressors of 2020 life. I have developed increasingly prominent PTSD symptoms that at times seem to rule my life. Bouts of extreme anger, helplessness, abandonment, panic attacks, and major depressive episodes have plagued me for over a year now. This week my brother and I lost another father figure, a man who had been apart of our lives for as long as I can remember. We are once again devastated by this loss. 

I am an essential worker, employed by a grocery store. An unenviable position to be in. I've had to take time off due to positive covid cases in my household, (thankfully everyone has recovered). My employer did not allow us to get tested without missing work until very recently so I have also missed work due to responsible testing on my part.  I've also had to miss work time due to the intensity of my PTSD symptoms both on their own and also combined with the stressors of a job at such high risk for exposure. 

I'm humiliated to have to ask for help but I don't see a way out of this on my own. 

The money raised in this campaign will allow me to pay back some rent that I've fallen behind on as well as allow me to take the time to get adequate help for my PTSD so it doesn't continue to spiral. I desperately want my life back.
