www.adoptahero.org Let's support our Health Heroes with the Adopt a Hero campaign during the national emergency COVID-19
Dear friends,
I am addressing you from the heart, with a cause to share.
While we are in our houses, offices, cars, surrounded by our families thousands of people in Mexico are breathing for the last time.
This pandemic is something extremely serious, and unfortunately, our Mexico is not prepared for such a magnitude. Studies show that Mexico and Brazil are expected to be the new epicenters of the pandemic.
Currently, Adopt a Hero we are our resources in obtaining critical supplies for the heroes who fight in the first line against COVID-19.
What we face:
Studies and data show that LATAM, led by Mexico and Brazil, will soon be the main epicenter of this pandemic.
Today June 2, 2020 the figures according to the Secretary of Health are as follows:
93,435 COVID CASES CONFIRMED
16,303 ACTIVE CASES
10,167 DEATHS
- Take into account that Mexico has not had access to sufficient test kits
There is a shortage of masks, gowns, gloves and other critical supplies to protect our medical professionals in hospitals in Mexico. If a hospital staff member contracts the virus, their health is at serious risk and they cannot work for at least 14 days. That is a big problem.
We need to protect the frontline heroes. More frontline workers means more capacity in our hospitals, and more people will receive the care they need.
"Our doctors, nurses and hospital staff are the true action heroes of this crisis. I have just been in Mexico for 2 months and was able to see this with my own eyes. We have the opportunity and the responsibility to provide personal protective equipment in this time to keep them safe while fighting this virus, so I decided to do something about it to save lives as a team, "said Maria Fernanda Reyes. "With all the brave work they are doing on the front line we need to help." Take a moment to join me in supporting our heroes. "
Adopt a Hero through the team of the National Network of Municipalities for health, achieved distribution a large donation, and our goal is that the process moves as quickly as possible, allowing organizations to provide help and generate a impact. Hospitals and medical centers tell us where we need to increase resources.
How can you help?
If you want to help first-line response services at our hospitals, buy a $ 25, $ 50, $ 100 kit or support the purchase of a ventilator.
It also helps to buy emergency ventilators from Harvard alumni who got together to make them but need to cover the basic costs $ 1,200 per piece and can get us 100.
