Love for Lauren

Our dear friend's daughter is undergoing surgery for a cancerous salivary gland. Lauren East Hightower is a 2011 graduate of Pottsville High School and her mother, Tina Taylor is a teacher at the Junior High. She has an 18-month-old daughter and is expecting a son in March. Lauren and her husband Joey live in Springdale where Lauren is an RN working on her doctorate in nursing. This is her story:
"As some of you may know my family and I have been coping with the discovery that I have been diagnosed with cancer of the salivary glands. On Jan 11th Henry and I will be going under anesthesia for surgery. Henry, for all who haven’t heard his name yet, is our soon-to-be baby boy. He’s due in March and has had a pretty unfair time so far. Thank you to everyone praying for us and please continue to pray for Henry. We meet the day after tomorrow with the high-risk OBGYN, the speech pathologist, and the surgeon again to work out this tricky situation. We also have more tissue being sampled after a deeper biopsy was taken yesterday. This biopsy will hopefully provide enough information to grade the severity of cancer- we are hoping for a low grade but regardless we know God's promises and can find peace in any news we hear.
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Mathew 24:35"
Please donate what you can to help Lauren and her growing family with the expenses they will have during this time. Lauren will not be able to work for some time and will be taking classes to become a nurse practitioner online.
