Ever enjoyed a holiday on the beautiful island of Bali? Sunset cocktails at KuDeTa?
Lots of us have – 80% of their economy is based on tourism – and right now the Balinese are suffering due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. They are in urgent need of food supplies.
The Balinese people look after us with the utmost care when we visit – let’s look after them.
We are raising money to donate to a local charity, Solemen (https://solemen.org/), to distribute food parcels and infant milk to those most in need. Solemen is a charity that has been operating in Bali since 2010 and has been recommended to us by a local contact.
Where your money will go:
A food parcel (AUD$20)
Includes: 2 packets of tempe, 2 packets of Tahu, 500gms garlic, 500gms chilli, 1 bunch long beans, 4 bunches kangkung (spinach), 1 large papaya, 1kg banana, 1kg tomatoes, small bag of dried fish
A food parcel to sustain a family for 2 weeks (AUD$40)
Includes: 10kgs rice, 4 packets egg noodles, 2 litres cooking oil, 50 tea bags, 250gsm coffee, 1kg sugar, 2 tins sardines, 1 tray eggs, 4 bars soap, 1 tube toothpaste, 1kg soap powder, 1 bottle washing up liquid, 1 litre disinfectant
Nutritional milk for a malnourished child (AUD$60)
