Jon VS. Lung Cancer

I've known Jon Carpenter since high school. Jon was a straight A student and active in varsity sports. He was always athletic and took his friendships very seriously. If Jon was your friend he was your friend for life.
On March 9th 2016, Jon was diagnosed with lung cancer. We were all hopeful that it was in the early stages and quick agressive treatment would yield positive results. Unfortunately, as the evalaution continued additional tests were run the prognosis became more serious. The latest information revealed stage 4 cancer that had spread to his shoulder and neck.
Jon started radiation treatment last week and will continue next week. After that he will be in discussions with the staff at Rex and UNC Hospitals about chemotheray treatment.
Jon left his job after getting this devastating news and does not have medical insurance. His nearest relative is in Colorado and he needs his friends more than ever.
Just as a voice from his beloved NCSU Wolfpack once said, "Don't give up, don't ever give up!" Jon has vowed to fight this disease to the end.
