Betty's Medical Fund

As many of you may know, our little girl, Betty, recently went through treatment for what they called "an Addisonian crisis".  Unbeknownst to us, Betty has Addison's diesease which, over time, has depleted the use of her adrenal glands. On June 20th, our amazing vet, Dr. Heim of Best Friends Animal Hospital here in LA, diagnosed the rare condition and began the fight to save Betty. Betty's body was in shock and it took roughly 24 hours at the vet and in the ER just to get her stabilized before beginning the additional 24 hour treatment to provide the hormones her body can no longer produce. There will be a lifestyle adjustment for Betty because of her disease, but she is expected to live a normal ife with proper daily/monthly medication and monitoring. 
   Felipe and I are both full-time students with limited income and the treatment for Betty's survival depleted our savings and then some.  Now that Betty is home, it is with humble hearts that we swallow our pride and ask our Facebook friends and family to help us . We have adjusted our finances so that ongoing treatment will be a part of our monthly expenses, so the goal we have set is exclusively to help us to recoup the financial losses of the medical expenses over the last few days.
   If anyone can contribute whatever you can, even if it is just encouragement, we would appreciate it very much. Our thoughts go out to the animal parents whose children weren't diagnosed in time. Thank you all so much.
