Legal Fees

May 20, 2015, I fell over a fourth story balcony onto a car below. I sustained 43 broken bones including my back (in two places), neck, ribs, sternum, skull fracture, and broken leg. Also, traumatic brain injury, collapsed lungs, sheath torn from my spine and other minor injuries. I had a 2% chance of survival and managed to live (God's grace). I fell from the apartment where I lived and there was no alcohol or drugs involved. However, the railings on the balcony were NOT up to California Building Code standards.  Nevertheless, the judge in my case did not see this as the instrumental reason for my unfortunate fall.  Clearly, the building not up to “code” was the mitigating factor of my accident.


I am hiring an attorney to make this appeal to the   court. There are building codes for a reason and my accident is proof of such. I am no longer able to work or support myself as a result of my injuries.
