Our mother lost her husband very suddenly yesterday morning, and we are without words. He was not only a loving man, but also acted as an incredible caregiver, supporting my mother through her lifelong battle with a tough and often debilitating mental illness.
Henri was not only her caregiver, but also supported her financially. She has been unable to work for some time due to multiple medical issues. As they could not afford insurance, she is left with nothing but heartache and a stack of bills to pay. The most heartbreaking part is that she cannot afford to give him a proper funeral.
