My Family in Puerto Rico
Donation protected
My grandfather and his wife Paula live in Lajas, Puerto Rico, a town on the southwestern side of the island. They are raising four beautiful teenage girls. They, like millions of others have been affected by this brutal hurricane season, and now, even more by the lack of organization and concern from our federal government. They still don't have power and the girls haven't been to school and won't return for several more weeks. My dad is planning to head down to the island with a generator when he can, but they live three hours away from San Juan. Fuel is sparse and the airport is a mess. I am asking you to donate if you can to help purchase this generator and any supplies they might need in addition to just giving them the extra cash. My grandpa is retired and still works hard to get by. He said to me when I visited in August of this year "the island is due for a big storm, I know it." What we didn't know, is that he would be so right, so very soon. If you can't donate, please, just share.
