Who am I?
My name is Ty Silver and I'm a Brooklyn-based filmmaker currently in the development of the short narrative "The Blind" to complete Film Production Degree at Brooklyn College.
What is "The Blind"?
"The Blind" is about Gordon Williams, a 79-year-old recovered alcoholic who is forced to acknowledge his violent past and come to terms with his mortality when he encounters his distant son.
On a regular visit to Gordon's nursing home, his son Michael sparks his father's memory of an incident from the 1970's he has been involuntarily attached to and quickly becomes an exploration of their tragic family history. The film offers a fresh perspective by exploring Gordon's deteriorated mind as illusions from their past haunt him.
