At 13 years of age Tyron suffered a frightening seizure in the middle of a birthday party in January of 2018.
He was discharged from hospital only to return shortly thereafter with the left side of his body becoming numb. After hospital stays, extensive blood tests and medical imaging, Tyron and his family were faced with the most feared news that any parent could experience - the doctors discovered that Tyron had a brain tumour.
After undergoing invasive brain surgery at such a young age the hope was that all would be well and he would have the chance to live a full life based on the reassuring biopsy results of the operation.
Throughout the whole ordeal, Tyron has endured the procedures , tests, operations with resilience, hope and spirit unlike any child should have to experience this early in his life.
Shortly after recovery, he represented to the emergency department suffering yet another seizure.
After a repeat scan ,our little hero and his parents were faced with more bad news. Multiple lesions were now noted on his repeat scan which were not evident after the initial diagnosis or operation.
Tyron is due to have more imaging and investigation and treatment in September 2018.
As the only child of his parents Mervyn and Milly, they have been working around the clock to afford the medical bills. Their medical aid funds have been completely exhausted. They are struggling to cover costs.
At this point, all the emphasis is getting their only son the best chance they can to survive.
Please help us by donating even the smallest amount you can spare. Absolutely everything will be appreciated beyond words.
Thank you.
