Tybo's Medical Fund

Last March, our 4 year old son, Tybo was diagnosed with a very agressive brain cancer, medulloblastoma. The best chance the doctors said he had to beat this cancer was a clinical trial going on at St. Jude's, so we went with the best option recommended to us to save our son. Before we knew it he was having multiple brain surgeries, on a long list of meds, and starting brainal & spinal radiation. He also went through the strongest chemotherapy  treatment. It was very hard as his parents, to watch your baby go through these treatments. Believing that God had a plan for all of this suffering was the only thing that got us through these treatments. After watching our son get weaker and weaker after each treatment, watching him just keep declining in health,  to almost feeling like he was slipping away from us. It was almost too much to bear. The doctors finally had to remove him from the trial because his little body could take no more and the cancer was coming back.

We were told there was no more hope for his survival, only offer was palliative care that meant watch our son fade away before our eyes. As his parents, we couldn't just give up and watch our son die. He had been through so much to just give up! So they sent us home on hospice. That's when we believe the real healing began! Being back home, natural medicine and on a strict all organic diet has really been the best healing for Tybo.  These holistic treatments have been life saving for our sweet boy. Of course none of these natural treatments and supplements that we give Ty on a daily basis are not covered by any insurance.  Our hope is that these supplements will restore him to complete health and help him have the best quality of life!

Psalm 41:3 The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.

Praise God our boy is not only still alive but he is thriving and showing improvement daily! He just started physical therapy last week, that was a total answer to prayer! It was amazing! It was about an 1hr and a half drive to get there but when we got there it felt like the best place for him! She told us he will need a new wheelchair and a some other physical therapy equipment that may not be covered by insurance. His physical therapist also wants to see him once a week and we want to see that happen too. Lord willing we will be there!  It has been an uphill battle since we have been home but to be where we are now with him makes it worth it.  Being home has been the best for Tybo, but our aging home is adding to the daily stresses of living with a critically disabled child. The list could go on and on with the repairs it needs.  But for a start it needs a new roof, a wheelchair ramp, new windows, we have no central air, Tybo's bathroom needs updating to suit his needs and our family has really outgrown our 3 bedroom home. We would really like to build a physical therapy room right here at home for Tybo. Really wish we could just afford a whole new to us mobile home, that had no present issues that need to be addressed. But we are trying to work with what we have.

Taking care of Tybo, his 4 siblings and our little homestead is a full time job. A job that I am dedicated to,  all I have ever wanted was to be a good mother and wife.  My husband is a very hardworking man and would never ask for hand outs. But as his helper , I see  a financial burden that no man should have to carry on his own, especially after almost losing your first born son.  I want to help him so much and feel helpless because at this time I cannot get a job outside the  home.

So we are asking you to please help support our boy's road to a full recovery from this awful disease. He has  had to suffer unimaginable pain this past year. The treatment he went through not only almost took his life, but caused him brain damage, he has lost the ability to walk, talk and even sit up on his own.

So with your help we will be able to continue to afford all his organic supplements, physical therapy expenses and be able to fix up our house to accomodate Tybo better. Please share our cause with as many as possible. No donation is too small. We will update everyone on how we use the donations to give Tybo the best quality of life, please follow us on Titans for Ty on facebook.

Our prayer is that he will regain all these life skills and be a walking testimony of what God has done.  We can't wait to help others that are facing the same life threatening disease.  But right now we can barely  help ourselves. We will pay it forward and help others.
Any leftover funds will go to good use blessing others in need.
