Ty Stephens/SoulJaazz Japan Tour

As a solo artist, and with my band The SoulJaazz, I have travelled the world building my reputation as a world-class performer and entertainer. My sound is cool, urban-tinged adult-contemporary music, based on jazz, funk and R&B. From Montclair to Moscow, New York City to Tokyo, Monte Carlo to Korea, I have worked to share my music with people around the world.
Over the years, I have been blessed to tour Japan several times with superstar pop icon Toshi Kubota. Touring with Toshi has been an amazing experience, and I have been overwhelmingly welcomed by Japanese fans, who show a tremendous appreciation for my music. Now, the SoulJaazz and I have an amazing opportunity to tour Japan on our own! We have been offered a chance to perform as many as four Ty Stephens & the SoulJaazz shows in Japan in June 2018. But, we have to get there first!
This GoFundMe campaign is to raise money to make this tour happen as a thank you to our amazing fans who have shown so much love for us. It is also a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour internationally and create new opportunities on the world stage. In the past year, we have been supporting our latest album, "Good Medicine" (BDG/RED - A Division of Sony LLC), and touring Japan would be a major step forward in promoting our music.
We have been blessed by so many fans around the world who have encouraged us every step of the way. Many of you have spread the word, purchased our music, followed us online, and supported us in so many ways. This tour is one of our biggest challenges, and greatest opportunities, and we would be grateful for everyone who can make a contribution to help us raise money to make it happen.
The money being raised will be primarily for travel expenses. The band and I are based around New York City in the United States, and need to pay expenses (air travel is expensive!) to travel to Japan, as well as all expenses to travel to our gigs, and stage the best shows possible.
We hope that if we can successfully launch our first international tour, it will not only allow us to return to Japan on a regular basis, but also mount tours in other countries where we have developed a fan base over the years. The benefits of this campaign can go far beyond this tour and help us take our music to a new level and reach audiences around the world!
