Two is Too Young to FIGHT Cancer Alone!

Hello friends and family, our names are Alicia Malak and Kristen Kriegbaum, aunts of Tanner Ziarek.

Our sweet nephew, Tanner Ziarek, has neuroblastoma, a cancer most commonly found in children. We are creating this GoFundMe page with the intention of raising funds for hospital bills, cancer treatments (including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries), savings towards Tanner's future infertility and to support the Ziarek family in taking necessary time off work. Tanner's Story

Tanner Ziarek is a sweet, 2-year-old boy with a huge heart and thick skin. He loves to play with any kind of ball and he also loves eating! He loves his two older brothers, Henry (6) and Hudson (4), and is loved in return by them. When Tanner is not eating or sleeping, he is constantly climbing, playing, and walking around the place like he owns it.

Tanner was admitted to the hospital four days after celebrating his 2nd birthday on April 1st. Days later, a diagnosis of neuroblastoma was confirmed. Tanner currently has a Cancerous Mass under his eye, eating into his cheekbone. They also located a tumor in his adrenal gland along with affected lymph nodes in his little belly. This aggressive form of cancer will take Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Radiations, Surgeries, and Stem Cell Transplant over the course of the next 12 months to treat.

How Will Your Money Be Spent

Donated funds will be used for hospital bills, medications including chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, savings towards taking measures to preserve Tanner’s future fertility, and to support the Ziarek family in taking necessary time off work (which will be unpaid).

Why

Due to medications and cancer treatment protocols, Tanner will be immunocompromised throughout his treatment and will not be able to go to his normal daycare. His treatment and need for parental support at home suggests significant incurred costs.

The Ziareks have an incredible support network. Already, Alexandra and Blaine have communicated the vast love and support received from family and friends via text and calls.
