Twin Valley Zoo Needs Help

COVID19 has hit Twin Valley Zoo family hard. We are a small (25acre) family run park that provides a home to over 80 species of animals. We are a dedicated and passionate family that works constantly along side our amazing zoo keeping team. We rely on a short season to provide for our animals and staff. We depend heavily on our school trips to kick start our season and fund day to day operations. We are trying to keep everyone safe. We cannot open our doors and have no idea when we will be able to. Schools have understandably had to cancel trips leaving us with no income. We have lost over $80,000.00. Today our family suffered a huge loss. Our beautiful Lynx Natasha passed away this afternoon during surgery. She sustained an injury while playfully wrestling with her partner, Boris. A fluke accident, Natasha fell and broke her leg. Natasha was a healthy, cheeky, senior, Eurasian Lynx. The prognosis looked good, we wanted to give her a chance and a few more years with Boris. Natasha passed away peacefully. We did not want to reach out for help during such a difficult time. We know this is affecting everyone, and that everyone is suffering.  As Thomas and I sat in our Veterinarians parking lot, feeling helpless, worrying about Natasha, thinking of the animals, our families, staff and our home, we agreed it was time, we needed to ask for help. We love our home, we love our community and extended zoo families and we will do everything in our power to stay here We are humbly asking for help please. We need to provide for our animals, cover Vet bills, feed, and staffing.
