Greetings, friends!

The last couple of weeks have been surreal for us, as we know it has been for you. As a small business, we had to make a hard choice: keep the business open at the 50% capacity requirement or switch completely to take out and delivery to protect our staff and you with social distancing. The heartbreaking caveat to choosing the latter is that we would have no hours for 80% of our staff. So, we made the hard decision. We went to take-out and delivery only. We hope this tough decision will ultimately help curb the spreading of the virus and we look forward to opening our doors to full service again as soon as we possibly can. 

Unfortunately, Chris and I had to do the hardest thing we’ve ever done this week: we had to temporarily lay off 33 of our family members. We are keeping each of them up to date with resources including temporary unemployment processes, other financial help in our industry, hopeful future government bailout and local groups trying to find footing in this uncharted territory.

While we figure this out, our 33 employees are young mothers and fathers, caregivers for their parents, sole breadwinners for families, and many are often living check to check. Because of this hard truth, we have decided to start a Go Fund Me page for those employees.


This is our request for you to show us the same outpouring of love and support you always have, but in a much more urgent situation.

Any person who donates anything will also receive an invitation to our fabulous patron’s appreciation party when we do get back to normal service and full staff. We will look forward to a day when we are coming out of this and celebrating life together. We’ll keep you posted on that date, and each of you will receive an invitation to eat, drink, listen to live music and be merry with us again.

Chris and I have never been known for giving up. In fact, we are known for the opposite: persistence and resilience are our strengths and we must use them now more than ever. We WILL get through this, and so will you. And when we do, we will all be stronger and more grateful for every day than ever before.
