Turning Leaf Christmas Dinner

Turning Leaf Community Support Services is a nonprofit charitable organization who provides crisis and treatment services for people living with intellectual challenges and mental illness. We are also the only organization who helps those who have fallen through the cracks in our system. This is why we need to fundraise, and we need your help. Together we can end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
It is important to us at Turning Leaf to share the holidays with our participants by providing them with a traditional family Christmas Dinner and sharing in the joy of the season with them. To many of our participants, Turning Leaf is the only family they have, so they really look forward to our participant events.
This year, on December 14, we will be hosting our Christmas Dinner for over 250 people living with intellectual challenges and mental illness. At this dinner, we will also be handing out hampers. We need your help to do that! We are busy collecting gifts in kind such as Turkeys and other traditional holiday food as well as sweets, gifts and especially money.
You can make a monetary donation on our website by clicking here, via this GoFundMe page, or if you have a gift-in-kind to donate for our dinner or Christmas you can contact Leanne Peters, Director of Community Relations at [phone redacted] and she will arrange pick up.
We will make sure that we share photos of our festive dinner so you can see the joy that you bring by supporting Turning Leaf and the people we serve!
Turning Leaf strives to provide the best possible care to our participants which is why 100% of all proceeds whether it be an impromptu donation or funds raised through our fundraising events goes towards improving Turning Leaf’s services.
Examples of some improvements to services are:
Educational field trips
Facility expansion and improvements (adding showers and laundry facility)
Temporary housing for participants in crisis
Participant events
Educational supplies
Participant resource centers and work stations
