Turkiyedeki cocuklar icin elele

Dear Friends, 

We are in the early stages of forming a non-profit foundation. One of the missions of our foundation is to support the children and early childhood education in Turkey. 

The founding members of our foundation are:

Serkan Apaydin (Istanbul, Turkey)
S. Burak Ozaydemir (Eskisehir, Turkey)
Ulas C. Kozat (San Jose, CA, USA)

As our first activity, we are raising funds to support two critical non-profit local charities in Turkey:

1) Mardin Yardim Sevenler dernegi. This charity has done critical work in the local Mardin community over the last two decades. They provide scholarships to students from economically challenged families. They also support local orphanages.

2) Mutluluk giysin cocuklar (www.mutlulukgiysincocuklar.org). This charity distributes critical winter gear (coats, gloves, and hats) to students in need in the eastern and southeastern regions of Turkey.

All of the funds that are donated in this page will reach these two charities; i. e., there is no administrative cost. 

Donation at any amount is meaningful. A donation of $5 will provide winter gear to a couple of students. A donation of $250 will provide almost a full year of scholarship to a student in need in Mardin. 

This fund-raising will continue until June 1. The raised funds will reach these two charities sometime in June. We will be in contact with the two charities and will prepare a short report summarizing the impact of these funds (including the number of children helped) in December. We will send this report to anyone who has donated.
