Turkish American Noah's Ark Scientific Project

New never-before-released data from a Science Channel expedition has revealed possible man-made structure buried below the ground at a site near the famous Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey. Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) surveys from 2019 on this uniquely shaped boat formation known as the Durupinar Noah's ark site are stirring excitement among Turkish scientists and members of our team.

This site was first discovered in 1959 by Turkish army captain, Ilhan Durupinar, and investigated by different researchers in the 1980s. While some believe this is just a natural formation, others point to this new data as powerful evidence that the site should not be written off. Could this boat-shaped object be the remains of Noah's ark?

"I knew that the scientific consensus was that the Durupinar site is a geological oddity. Before learning about these scans, it seemed like those who continued to argue in favor of the Durupinar site just couldn’t accept the truth and let it go.

It’s a whole new ballgame now. Those judgments dismissing the site were made decades ago and based on limited data compared to what we have now. As I learned more, I became convinced that the project was worth my support and that it is vital that we determine the truth about the Durupinar site."

- Ryan Mauro, President of the Doubting Thomas Research Foundation (DTRF), Producer of the viral documentary film, "Finding the Mountain of Moses: The Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia ."

The new GPR data shows parallel lines and angular structures 8 to 20 feet down. These parallel lines and right angles below the surface are something you would not expect to see in a natural, geologic formation. Interestingly, the boat formation has also been confirmed to be the exact length of the ark given in the book of Genesis.

“This is not what you would expect to see if this site is just a solid block of rock or an accumulation of random debris from a mudflow. But these results are what you would expect to see if this is a man-made boat matching the Biblical requirements of Noah’s Ark."

- Andrew Jones, Lead American Researcher of the Noah's Ark Project & DTRF Research Associate.

Here are 5 amazing data points to consider about this site, in addition to the recent GPR scans, that Ryan has noted:

1. Again, the length that exactly matches the description of Noah’s Ark in the Bible (the exact height and width are yet to be determined, but appear to match the dimensions at this preliminary stage);

2. Three possible layers shown in previous scans, matching the Biblical description of the boat having three decks;

3. Its location in the mountains of Ararat, where the Bible says the Ark came to rest;

4. The local tradition that calls the spot “Mount Judi,” which Islam teaches is the exact land- ing spot within the mountains of Ararat;

5. The distinct boat-shaped formation inside the earth-flow which could preserve such a man-made object.

We are now part of an international team, partnered with Turkish scientists - including geophysicists, geologists, and archaeologists - who want to further investigate this site this year.

This is exciting news! However, we are in a race against time to raise the funds needed to complete Phase 1 of this new scientific project which will include new geophysical scans by the Turkish team (GPR and ERT [resistivity]), and core drilling on the site - both within the boat formation and outside of it.

Additionally, erosion of this site is a time sensitive issue.

“The scientists explained that the Durupinar site is now suffering from erosion so severe that there’s more visible damage every year. This means we’re in a race against time."

- Andrew Jones.

All of this new work will lead to efforts to preserve the site, as well as a possible excavation - both in later phases.

Please note, there can be no excavation of the boat formation site until the new geophysical surveys, core drilling and geological studies are complete! This summer’s work is the necessary first step and the most important one to reach our overall goal.

Friends, we have a huge scientific project in front of us! All the pieces are in place. We have the support of key locals, we have interested scientists who have the permit to work in this area, and we have the media contacts to document the work.

What we need is YOUR financial support and prayers so that the project can be completed this year. Our goal has always been to uncover as much evidence as possible for Noah’s ark and to present it to the world. Please prayerfully consider supporting this effort! Our goal is to raise $25,000 via this GoFundMe within 2 weeks.
