THE BACK STORY
Preston Tucker introduced his dream car to the world in 1947 and it became an instant sensation. Preston, however, would not see the icon his sedan became, as he died of cancer within just eight years of its debut.
Since seeing a 1948 magazine story as a teenager, John Schuler dreamed of owning one these remarkable cars. That dream came alive in 2010 when he and his wife Barbara acquired this example and began its world-class restoration.
In early 2017 John's wife of 52 years lost her battle with cancer.
Today, John is offering this stunning automobile--the accumulation of a dream--for sale. But not for profit! Proceeds will benefit the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research in honor of Barbara.
Tucker's dream, John's dream, our dream... The dream of the world is to discover a cure for cancer!
