TTU:NASA Student Rocket Competition

The Raider Aerospace Society is raising money for our High Powered Rocketry Competitive team, the Space Raiders. After conquering our first award, the team is ready for more action. The Space Raiders are returning for their second time, to the NASA University Student Launch Initiative (USLI). We currently collect funds from our student members and would like YOUR support to fund our ambitious mission. This year, we're taking on the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) deployment payload challenge. Upon rocket touchdown, our UAV must deploy from the internal structure of our rocket and navigate towards the Future Excursion Area (FEA) and drop a simulated navigational beacon.
As it can be understood, shooting a 10 ft rocket 4700 ft is only half the battle...and half the points. The team with the most points in several categories, takes home any of the 12 awards. Our team submits lengthy reports throughout the year followed by presentations with NASA Engineers themselves.
Our Team: The Space Raiders is comprised of 48 brave souls, and students at Texas Tech University. Realistically, there is a career in the aerospace industry for nearly every type of person. With that being said, our team consists of engineering, finance, psychology, english, mass communication, and computer students. This project offers a valuable experience to ALL the students of Texas Tech, and would immensely appreciate your support.
Our scaled down rocket is tentatively planned for November or December, and our Full Scale shortly after that. However, we are asking for your gracious donations throughout the duration of our project. We will be marching down to Huntsville, Alabama April 3rd. You can follow our design, construction, and step into our meetings by following any of the media accounts below. As a donor, we'd love to welcome you into our workshop and receive constant updates on our progress. On these platforms, you'll receive a call out for your donation(s) in order to express our sincerest gratitude.

The Raider Aerospace Society is the ONE and ONLY aerospace exposure our students have access to, in reference to no aerospace department. However, these are the extremely motivated students who are driven to create their own opportunities, where none exist.
Help us send the Texas Tech Space Raiders, once again to Huntsville, and one day become the men and women to send humanity to Mars and beyond! Lets send it Rocketeers!
