Kayla’s TTP/ Chemo Medical Fund

My little cousin, Kayla Bond, who just turned 21 from Georgia has been admitted in ICU on 12/15/17 and just diagnose with a rare disease called TTP (Thrombotic Trombocytopenic Purpura) which is a rare blood disorder that can damage many of her organs. She is currently going through blood and plasm transfusions for the next 3 days and seeing if her body responds to it.

Kayla has no medical insurance as the one she was on only provided insurance up to age of 18 and was unable to get on her mother’s since she is not qualified under her mother’s disability insurance. Prior to her diagnosis Kayla was diagnosed as legally blind due to chronic migraines tht caused her vision to come and go; in turn she cant drive and made it difficult to work,and with financial hardship for years she could not afford her own insurance.

Kayla is a bright young lady that has a heart of gold and is truely selfless that puts everyone’s needs above her own. Additional to furthering her own education through online classes, she is the primary care giver for her disabled mom, our diabetic grandmother, and assisting in homeschooling her 14 year old brother. She is always lending a helping hand and she is glue that holds the family together.

Now with this unexpected tragic turn of events, Kayla is in need of help to assist with her hospital medical expenses and post medical expenses including follow ups with specialists, prescriptions, and treatments.
