Hope for Molly

Molly is my six-month-old Lab, who was suddenly taken ill on August 7 and hospitalized in intensive care on August 9. Today marks the 8th day she's been in ICU, desperately fighting Leptospirosis. When she was admitted, the doctors were amazed that she was still alive and alert as her kidneys had shut down. She has been on IV fluids around the clock since that day. She's also been catheterized so that they can measure the amount of fluids going in and coming out. They are drawing blood and running kidney panels every twelve hours. A few days ago, the doctors started reducing her fluids just a little to see if her kidneys could handle it, but, so far, they haven't been able to. They will try again tomorrow. Molly has lost about a third of her body weight. I am eager to fatten her up.
She will remain in ICU at least until Monday or Tuesday. We desperately want her to come home. To date, the hospitalization alone totals over $7000. Good friend, Kelly Simpson, helped raise $1360 but she didn't have time to update and gofundme wouldn't let me use that page and update it myself. So, if you gave to Kelly's gofundme page, please do not think you should give again. I'm trying to get this out to as many people as possible so please share it through Facebook, Twitter and email. I will update again tomorrow. Every little bit really does add up.
Thank you for your help! My family and I are grateful that you care.
