T's treatment

Hi everyone... Troy (or as I tend to call him, T) had been having an upset stomach for a while. I thought it was nothing more than a little bug or maybe just something in his diet  so I went ahead and turned to the usual protocol: a bland diet. Days passed and his condition wasn't improving so I made him an appointment to go see his vet this past Monday (12/18). He seemed dehydrated so the vet ordered him to get blood work... the blood work came back with an abnormally high white cell count. This prompted the need for an ultrasound which showed that his pancreas is abnormally large and the lymphnodes around it large in size...The final step, before diagnosis, was a biopsy of the lymphnodes and further testing of the bloodwork samples. Results came in, and at about 3:30 pm today (December 19th), I found out that T has lymphoma - an unfortunately common cancer found in dogs. Anyone who knows me, knows that this animal is more than just a pet to me... My world has come crashing down in the matter of 24 hours and I'm desperately looking for any help to be able to cover any medical costs that will come with providing T the treatment he needs. If you've met him, you know he's the sweetest boy. At only 3 years old, he's barely made it through the first chapter of his life. It's far too soon to lose him, and though it's inevitable, I need to do anything possible to prolong it for as long as I can. I need to give him more time. The average chemotherapy costs are supposedly between $3,000-$5,000 (this may be significantly lower than actual costs) but regardless, that's where I derived the "goal" number here from. I don't expect to hit $5,000.00, but I (and T) would be most grateful for any small contribution any one would be willing to make. I don't by any means think mine is the only or the worst hardship, with all that's going on in this world. I simply need to do anything I can to help my boy, and this falls under that category.
