Truck for Veteran and his Family

Chris is an Army veteran I recently hired to do handyman work for me. He, his wife Liz, and their kids Chance and Lily, have an urgent need for help. They have just lost their home, and their truck broke down the same night. The 4 of them huddled together and slept in the truck in the frigid weather on December 28.

When we learned this, we helped them get some food and a hotel room in Lodi, and we are working with a veteran services organization (Vetspass) to help them get permanent housing.

Chris makes his living with his truck. He is a mechanic and buys, repairs and sells lawn equipment and other items.

·      Can you please join with me to help repair the transmission and rear windshield in the truck or help him buy another used truck?

·      Maybe you have a working truck to loan or donate?

Chris and Liz have had some bad breaks, but they are good, hard-working people. They love their kids (8 and 11 years old) and we enjoyed talking to them over pizza dinner.  He served our country honorably and has struggled to get the benefits due to him. While we work on that, please help keep him and his family rolling with transportation.

He is one step away from a turnaround. Whatever we raise here will go toward their greatest needs. God bless you for helping if you can.
