In October 2016, my life, my world changed forever.  I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer and Stage IVB Cervical Cancer. I was prepared for cervical cancer being the worst after talking with my gynecologist.  In a million years, I would not have thought I would have to battle cancer, but was okay if I had to deal with cervical cancer. On, October 20, 2016, it was worse than initially thought. On October 21st, I was in an oncologist office and was scheduled for surgery to have a port inserted in my body to receive treatment, MRI, CT scan, PET scan, and a 6 month treatment plan.  What weighed more on me and still today is my 2-year old, then 18 months.  I knew I had to fight like hell, and I still am.  I used all sick leave, maintained paying my medical bills.  The treatments took its toll on me, mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. I took a month off workto try to heal.  However, my hands and feet started tingling and go in and out with numbness.  Later, I would receive the diagnosis of side effects: hypertension (hypertension) and stage IV kidney disease, 20-24% kidney function). On top of that the cancer is still present.  After 24 treatments I was called back to the oncology center.  On June 1, 2017, I was told I needed to have 30 more treatments on a stronger drug, which would cost in excess of $252,000. My insurance is covering most of the payment, but I have to meet the deductible to finish treatment because of dates of the fiscal year for my coverage.  The stays in and out of the hospital does not allow me to work another job, like I would normally do. And, it adds more to the already mountain of medical bills.   So, I am here. My husband works two jobs maintaining our family. I already used my disability for the first 24 treatments. I continue to work as much as I can, it pays to keep insurance premiums. The pills I take range in cost from $3.00 to $671.  I have been fortunate to have some of the cost covered, but not all.  I don't know what else to do but ask for help. I was planning a garage sale to sell some things, but it landed me in the hospital again. Maintaining a family and working while undergoing chemotherapy takes all my energy. I go to 0 real quick. But, I still keeping trying  to do my part. So if you are reading this, I am asking for your help. Any help will be much appreciated. And, please keep me in your prayers for complete healing. We also are going on our bi-annual family vacation, but I have wonderful close knit family that is taking care of that for us.  I want to be honest and assure you I am using funds to pay medical treatments and expenses.
