Stage 4 colon cancer
Donation protected

Hey! My name is Rachel. On February 11th 2022 I woke up with a pain in my right side. If I took a deep breath in I would come to tears. After getting off work that day I went to the urgent care. The Dr there sent me over to the er to get a ct scan. I ended up waiting till the next day. On February 12th I went to the er. They did a ct scan and found spots on my liver and colon. They thought it could be diverticulitis. I was then referred to a gastroenterologist. I went to see my gastroenterologist and the office sent me to have an mri. After waiting almost 2 weeks the office called me in to tell me some very terrible news. My dad come with me that day. The Dr told us he was concerned I had cancer. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy March 21st. After my colonoscopy he was able to confirm I had cancer. On March 28th he had me come on for my pathology results which confirmed I have stage 4 colon cancer. April 1st I went to see a surgeon. He said we will have to do surgery. I will be out of work at least a month for surgery. I will also have to do chemotherapy and as of now I’m unsure of how long. I go see my oncologist April 4th. My surgeon said what I have is rare to be this young. He said it was going to be a hard fight. I am ready to battle this thing but I’m also afraid. I have 2 children. I understand it’s no one’s place to pay my bills. I am the type to help when I can so I definitely don’t like asking for help. If you can’t donate please if you can pray for me and my family! Thank you so much
