Trish Lowery Breast Cancer Fund

Donation protected
On December 26th, when most families were spending time together and figuring out how all their cool new toys work, Trish Lowery was getting tests done to check on a mass in her right breast. Two days later she was told it was Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer.

My name is Andrea, and I'm Trish's little sister – she's absolutely one of my best friends, and I was heartbroken when she reached out to me on New Years Eve to break the news. Her holidays were spent testing, worrying, and being given a diagnosis no one expects to hear,  then telling her husband Jamie, their two children, Gisele and Miles, and the rest of her family what she had learned.

Trish told us that she felt like she had bruised a rib on her right side and that it felt firm, but there was never a “lump,” as you'd expect to find in this situation. She and Jamie decided it would be a good idea to get it checked out, even though it was probably nothing to worry about. After what should have been a routine exam and being told it's 90% likely to be nothing, she found out it was breast cancer.

Now that they have a diagnosis, the next steps involve more ultrasounds, an MRI, a CT Scan, and a Bone Scan, followed by genetic testing, Chemo, and possibly surgery. As you can guess, the medical bills are going to be extensive. Please help support Trish and her family during this time by donating to this fund. I'll provide updates to this page as often as I can, but you can follow Trish's story on her blog: http://livingwithwhimsy.blogspot.com

I'm so grateful that not only does Trish have a huge support network of family and friends, but she's also one of the strongest people I know. She's dealt with a host of health issues and has come out smiling on the other side, so I have no doubt in my mind that cancer doesn't stand a chance against her!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this, and I hope you'll continue to follow Trish's story and help out by contributing to this fund to help cover their medical expenses. Every little bit helps.http://livingwithwhimsy.blogspot.com/
