Trish Clark memorial scholarship

Mrs. Clark, as she was known to her hundred of students, passed away October 3, 2023. As her family, we never doubted that we came first, but we also knew that her "job" wasn't just a job - she was a teacher in the truest sense of the word. It wasn't a profession, it was just her. She started at Wm E Hay in 1971, took a break when Jenn & Shaun were born, and returned to teaching in 1986. She taught / was principal at Donalda Colony, Endiang, Byemoor, Gadsby & Botha, with what is now Clearview Public Schools. She coached volleyball, gymnastics, basketball and track (arguably her favourite). Many former students still hear her voice in their head when they enter a gym! Trish finished her career back at Wm E Hay, retiring in 2002, and missing it every day afterwards.

Mrs. Clark believed in the abilities of every student, and in the possibility for them to achieve anything they wanted. She cared deeply about her ’kids’, their well being, their learning and their futures.

She would love that we’re doing this to continue supporting students. Donations will go towards a scholarship at Clearview in her memory.
