Treatable & Beatable Team Carmen Orellana

     My 10 year old niece, Carmen Orellana, has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer).  She is very scared but is trying to be brave. Like any child she loves to run and play with her little sisters but a very large tumor in her leg has taken that away from her. After a summer filled with pain and not being able to get out and play our family was devastated to learn how sick she is. All we want is to get her healthy and give her childhood back to her. 
     September 2, 2020 she will begin chemotherapy at The University of Kentucky Children's Hospital. Over the next 12 months she will travel back and forth from Bowling Green to Lexington for treatments and surgery. Her mother will have to leave her 2 little sisters behind for extended stays in the hospital. With all the things my sister already has to worry about, I hope money for transportation and food will not be another reason to bring her to tears. 
    I've started this GoFundMe to try to help meet her immediate needs. She is in need of a wheelchair that insurance is not going to cover. We will have to fit her home with a ramp as well. Her mother's vehicle needs some minor repairs to get her back and forth safely and they will need money for gas, food and incidentals. And of course, we know there will be other medical expenses not covered by insurance.
