Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit public school teachers gain access to ACE Science and Child Trauma training- (Trauma Informed Education) in Lagos, Nigeria.
The average teacher salary in public schools in urban cities in Nigeria is $100 -$300/month and lower in rural areas.
Trauma Informed Education was introduced to teachers in Lagos in 2013. The training was designed to bridge the knowledge gaps of teachers in adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), childhood trauma and the impact of toxic stress on student’s academic outcomes. Teachers that attended this training were mostly from private schools because public school teachers could not afford the cost of the 3-day training.
Even though the 3-day training is a good price, it's still not accessible to most teachers especially public school teachers who need the training. The money collected will be for full sponsorship of the teachers, to include; the training cost, room and board of each teacher attending the training October 21-23, 2019.
Donations are needed now to register the teachers and book their hotel accommodations by September 15th. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
