On the morning of November 19th, tragedy struck a very dear friend, co-worker and an adored 1st grade teacher at Hafen Elementary School. Susan's Brown's 19 year old daughter, Shelby, was involved in a near fatal car accident. She was life flighted to UMC Hospital in Las Vegas. Where she remains until she is able to be transfered to a rehabilatation facility. When she is well enough to return home, Shelby will require around the clock care. If this was not heart wrenching enough, Susan's husband of 23 years passed away the evening of November 29th. On top of mounting medical expenses that insurance will not cover, Susan has the burden of creamation and memorial expenses for her husband. Susan is traveling from Pahrump to UMC in Las Vegas daily to be with her daughter. ( 1 and 1/2 hrs, 65 miles one way)
