Transplant for Teresa
Donation protected
The family and friends of Teresa Fayak are asking you to help Teresa, her husband, and her fur babies; Porthos, a rescued cat, and Tiberius, a Boston Terrier.
It’s been a rough year for everyone; COVID-19, job loss, homelessness, hurricanes and wildfires.
As for Teresa and Jack it’s been a rough year. After many E.R. visits, Teresa was diagnosed with N.A.S.H , a liver disease which is genetic. Her liver is failing, and unless she finds a living donor with her blood type or sadly someone passes away with her blood type and signed an organ donation card she will not survive.
Teresa and Jack have worked different ways for the public. Teresa worked in the news media for over 20 years.
Jack is a Corporal with the WV Natural Resources Police and after 20 years he is still protecting and serving the public and the natural resources of West Virginia.
Teresa and Jack, both have to be careful around people. COVID-19, a common cold, the flu, a raised temperature would knock her off the transplant list.
The past year has been challenging for the both of them. Dealing with organ failure, paying medical bills, prescriptions (dealing with the side effects), and bills are daunting.
Right now, Teresa and Jack wait by the phone hoping and praying they receive "The Call.” But, it’s a hurry and wait situation.
If you would like to help them with their financial hardship, any donation through the GoFundMe page would be appreciated. Those funds would help with living, medical and travel costs for Teresa and Jack. Those funds would also help a living donor with their expenses, if one is found.
THANK YOU for taking the time reading their story. Please keep Teresa, Jack and their family in your prayers
