Hi there! My name is Mykah, I'm the one without glasses. I'm a NB trans woman in my thirties, diagnosed with depression & ADHD as a teen, and I've been transitioning for a little over two years now.
Transition has helped me learn so many things about myself, and allowed me to meet and be with people who truly understand me for who I am.
Currently, I'm living with two other trans women in a poly relationship. Unfortunately, we've all been let go from our jobs, and despite continued efforts to find work, nothing has come through yet, though that hasn't stopped us trying.

Right now, we are without rent for this month, as well as low on food, fuel, and have other bills piling up. I'm personally struggling to find insurance, so I'm having to pay uninsured prices for meds, as well as not being able to afford most doctor/therapist visits. I've cashed out my retirement fund, but that's only a few thousand, and will take time to arrive.
I'll break it down like this:
Rent - 2,000 / month
Utilities - ~500 / month
Medication - ~500 / month
Food - ~ 500 / month
Unfortunately, we need the money ASAP. We're all loathe to ask for help, so we waited until it was one of the only options left The sooner we can get the rent and bills paid, the less chance of us getting additional charges or unexpect3ed expenses.
By donating to this fund, you will be supporting three trans women in living a life they never thought possible. Make no mistake, transitioning isn't all sunshine & unicorns, but it's worth it for each of us despite the difficulties. We've all found a clarity and calm that we didn't have before, and if we can just make it through these rough times, we know we can flourish. Eventually, we would like to set up a shelter or home for trans folk in need, but I'm getting ahead of myself and daydreaming again.
