Trail Racing for Kitties

At the end of July, I'm running Buckin' Hell , a notoriously rugged 30km trail race in the North Shore Mountains of British Columbia. I've never run this race before and it's going to kick my butt, but I've run two races by this organizer before and there's no way I can pass this one up!

I love trail running, and I love those mountains, but training for and running trail races is often a solitary thing, and from now on, I would like to turn the race effort into something that benefits people (or creatures) other than myself.

For this race, I am raising money for a local charity that is near and dear to our family – Cat Therapy & Rescue, the cat rescue where we found our two youngest cats, Oni and Wally. The people there are amazing, and they deserve all the support they can get!

My goal for this race is to raise $20 for each kilometre run, for a total of $600. It would mean a lot to me if my friends and family could help me accomplish more than just my own fitness and serenity with this run – your contribution of any amount at all would be amazing!
