Please help our friend Honor, 6-year-old Grant first grader, who experienced a devastating and unexpected loss when his beloved mother, Shanta Jackson, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest at home before Thanksgiving.

 

Honor is a friend from preschool we met when he was 4 years old and my daughter was 3. He is a bright and sweet young boy who shared a very close bond with his mother, a single mom. The two were inseparable and this sudden loss of life is difficult to grapple with. 

During this challenging time, we are reaching out to the community to pull together and help provide Honor and his family with financial resources, a village and safety net to help navigate life at this difficult crossroads.

 

This fund is organized to help Honor and his family caregivers with financial support to buy basic necessities such as food and clothing, participate in sports (Honor is currently interested in soccer), afterschool activities, trips to museums & amusement parks, etc, and start an education fund, to help secure a bright path and future.

Our goal is to help:
-provide financial resources for Honor to have food security and basic necessities for the next 12 years (age 18)
-pursue and cultivate his interests
-participate in activities with his friends
-start an education fund

This fundraiser is being organized by a group of moms & friends from Grant Elementary School with permission and approval from Honor's family. 100 percent of funds collected will go to Honor c/o his guardian (aunt Lakinya).
