a life of a Father lost

Hello my name is Shauna Gordon I am the sister in law to Darryl Sabourin. His family and I would like to raise funds to go towards Darryl’s funeral costs and arrangements for his sudden death and loss the family is currently going through.

Darryl went to the university hospital in Edmonton Alberta on March 4,2024 where he later died on March 6,2024.

During an altercation with Peace officers Darryl’s life was taken and attempt to revive him was unsuccessful.

Excessive abuse of power and force was used by Peace Officers which took his life.

An on going investigation is now in process in all the steps which led up to Darryl’s passing.

It was confirmed by hospital management that Darryl did get away from peace officers and grabbed the clerk phone at the desk and called 911 for help as he was in a panic state for his life. Shortly after dying in the arms of peace officers.

Darryl was a father of 4 boys and a brother and cousin uncle and very well loved family member.

so many are mourning the shock and state of loss. His children have had uncontrollable tears and outburst of emotions. Darryl went to university hospital to seek help for his current situation to get better for his children.

Hospitals should be a safe place a place where you can be treated with dignity and respect.

Darryl was from Hay River NWT over 1200 Km from Edmonton many family members and his children need to lay him to rest next to his mother on his home lands.
