Tragedy for the Gross family

Donation protected
Aaron Gross, 38 years young - husband, father, son, brother, friend and United States veteran suffered a horrible tragedy. His young family could use all the help and support possible at this very difficult and uncertain time.

On the evening of December 22, Aaron fell in his home. EMT's arrived fast and quickly determined his injuries were to sever for the local hospital, so he was med flown to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. There he underwent many examinations and was found to have a broken neck and spine. Aaron has no feelings or use of his body from his waist down. He also can not feel or move his hands.

On the 23rd, Aaron endured an 8 hour surgery to reconstruct his spine using medal rods in hopes for the best possible recovery. However, the rods themselves cause Aaron's head position to be forever locked in place. He will now stay in the ICU for days to weeks until he is able to be transferred to a rehabilitation center where he will live, apart from his family, for several months.

Aaron has always been a very hard working man. He was the sole provider for his family, also the carrier of their health insurance. He has a 5 month pregnant wife, a 12 year old daughter and an almost 2 year old daughter.  He is a veteran of the United States Army and was working in law enforcement while also finishing up a degree in Human Resources.

Aaron's recovery is very unpredictable. However a few thing are not, for example, he and his family will need to pay a lot of medical bills, buy lots of necessary equipment and supplies and make modifications to their home to accommodate Aaron's wheel chair.

Aaron and his wife are doing their best to stay optimistic for the long road ahead with their young family. I can assure you, every dollar will go to very good use assisting this family through this extremely difficult time.
