How your donation will be greatly appreciated

In July of 2017, Tracy fell off a steep incline and broke her left knee shattering it into 6 pieces requiring immediate surgery resulting in the insertion of 5 large screws and a metal plate in order to repair and stabilize her leg. She was in a wheelchair for 4 long months. As If that wasn’t enough or as the universe would have it .... perfectly planned out so as to undeniably discover I have stage 2 lung cancer at the age of 51 ( stage 2 because of the size of the tumor located in my lung that was large enough to consume 2 ribs). After this mind exploding life altering information, I had to shift back to the immediate medical crisis... my extensive knee surgery the following morning and the year plus of recovery that is inevitably follow.

Recommended Treatment

After leg surgery sequestered her to a wheel chair for 4 months her doctors began the numerous testing of her cancer including painful surgical biopsies of her lung and lymph nodes, Pet Scans, and CT’s  to assess the extent of her cancer which was determined to be Stage II.

On November 22, 2017, a thoracotomy was performed in which they removed the malignant tumor, AND the entire upper lobe of her right lung, lymph nodes located in her center chest, two ribs, and a portion of her chest wall muscle. The recovery of which will be every bit of an entire year at the very least.

Tracy lives in a tiny five foot four inch 125lb body. Her pain has been extremely complex to manage. In part because of the stress brought about from the numerous procedures and surgeries. And the radiation and chemotherapy in her near future, and naturally... what her future holds. It is a lot for a person to process and wrap their head around. Some events you can never come back from from.

Tracy is not allowed to lift more than 5lbs with her right arm. Her ability to walk is hindered from her knee injury and surgery. Between rebuilding her left knee, and having a thoracotomy at 5 weeks post-op surgery.... it will take every bit of 1 to 2 years to regain her physical strength and have some semblance of a normal life.
