Tracy Mayrello's Road to Wellness

About me: I am one of Tracy’s studio mates. I have known her since 2011 and she is not only an associate, she is a friend and a big part of our Austin, Texas printmaking community. I am setting up this account to assist Tracy as she continues on her healing journey to health. For the past several years of dealing with long time liver function challenges, Tracy Mayrello has been working through health issues which impact her daily life. Recently this resulted in correcting a long-time double hernia and abdominal reconstructive surgery. Tracy’s current biopsy diagnosis is a non-alcoholic fatty liver indicating auto-immune markers, hepatitis and Primary Biliary Cholangitis (an auto-immune disease of the biliary system). Her biggest battle now is liver injury by chemical toxicity.

Tracy Mayrello is a Master Printer and is well known for her collaborations with national, international and local artists. In 2019, Tracy brought together a collective of artists creating an Austin, Texas print shop. A small business of printmakers who found a home to create and grow in Austin’s rising costs. Despite the pandemic, extended shipping delays on equipment, waiting months for technicians to service equipment, paper/supply shortages, and health, Tracy has persevered.


As for many, health change for Tracy creates lifestyle change. Tracy has been able to work in her business, Creekside Studio, but on reduced hours to avoid strain. She must take time off for doctor appointments and testing. Physical activity will continue to be limited for many months to come.

Funds raised by this campaign will ease Tracy's the financial burden of having to reduce the number of hours worked while managing her health.  This campaign will also help with the cost of medications and lost income for both home and business.
