Tracy Harris liver and kidney transplant care.

Our friend, Tracy Harris, needs our help. The 2020 Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame Inductee has undergone major surgery December 31 and January 1 receiving both a new liver and new kidney. Tracy is not a drinker or smoker but his liver began shutting down in early 2021 and the team at UAMS did a remarkable job of saving his life.
Tracy is an only child and his parents have both passed away. He will need home health care round the clock for at least two weeks when he is discharged from UAMS which could be January 7. He has a great support team including his boss who has secured an experienced home health professional who can assist Tracy with all his needs medically and around the house. As you can imagine, round the clock care can be quite expensive. We are asking his friends to assist with any donation amount they can as every dollar helps.

I wanted to give some further information about myself even though I know many of you that have donated to Tracy. My name is Robert Neighbors and Tracy and I have been friends for about 15-20 years from playing golf. I live in Little Rock also and a few years ago Tracy asked me to be his executor of his Will. I agreed to do it and then a couple of years later, Tracy was diagnosed as diabetic.
In the past 12-14 months, his diabetes began affecting his overall health and eventually Tracy qualified to be on the liver transplant list. As he was working thru the multiple month process of getting approved for a liver donation, his kidneys began to fail and he was approved to get a liver and a kidney.
The funds that are being donated are going to be used to pay for his 24/7 in-home care that will assist him with his recovery along with meals, medication, to and from follow up appointments as he cannot drive for about six weeks. I'm in the process of setting up a checking account that will be used to pay for his expenses so they don't go into my family's personal account.
