Countless friends and family members have asked how they can tangibly assist the Brettin family during this time. So, in lieu of flowers, if you wish to help provide financial support, this fund has been set up to help cover the funeral costs and travel expenses for the family. Any remaining funds will be distributed to some of Rick’s favorite charities in his honor.
On the afternoon of December 20, 2017, our great family friend, Rick Brettin, went to be with the Lord after a two-year, hard fought battle with brain cancer.
Rick was an incredible protector and provider, the family rock and resident handyman. It seemed as though there wasn't anything he couldn't do. He fought fearlessly and courageously for two years with faith and resilience. He will be missed in so many ways, as he was dearly loved, cherished, and admired by his children & grandchildren and most significantly by his wife of 31 years, his #1 supporter and the love of his life, Tamara Brettin.
The Brettin family is grateful for all of the visits, messages, and calls they have received throughout this journey.
A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017, at SouthSide Church in Peachtree City, Georgia.
