Drag Queen Story Time in Bells Corners

Megan and I, Jean-Philippe Pelchat, both live in Bells Corners and got this crazy little idea of organizing a drag queen story time event in our neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario. Local drag queen Adrianna Exposée will be hosting kids from 3 to 10 and will be telling one story in French and one story in English. Stories will be LGBTQ-themed and promote inclusion, diversity and awareness.

The response has been so overwhelmingly positive that we had to change the venue, which resulted in extra costs.

Megan and I organized this private event by ourselves and we are committed to offer it for free. That means expenses for talent and venue rental is coming straight of our pockets.  We were expecting to ask for contributions on site, but people unable to attend asked for an online platform so they could contribute, so here it is.

I will personally withdraw donations to pay for all expenses related to the event, which means Adrianna's compensation for hodting the event and the fees for the rental of Westcliffe Community Centre. Every single penny extra will be donated to Ten Oaks Project.

Donators will be given a shout-out the day of the event and will have a follow-up to let them know how their money has been used and what amount has been donated to Ten Oaks Project, if this is the case.
